pondering things for 2008 and beyond...

Well, we are half way into the new year and I'm still debating on whether or not I want to set any goals or make any resolutions. Should I or shouldn't I. I guess the key would be to set up some "makeable" goals and then also throw some out there that are not just easy ones, but ones that might put me out of my comfort zone.

After finishing up the Chase the Lion series in our Sunday morning Bible Study, I'm convinced I need to push myself more than I have in the past. So, I'm going to be putting some things "out there" that I want to do and also some things that I need to do. Not all will need to be accomplished this year but should be things I need to be figuring out. Here's a few to start out...

Life "goals" (not necessarily in order)
1) Go to Hawaii
2) Attend a Green Bay Packers game at Lambeau Stadium
3) Start a small business (bookstore, coffee/sandwich shop)
4) Bike across Kansas (BAK)
5) Help Kevin get lasik surgery done
6) Go on a mission trip outside the U.S.
7) Whitewater rafting

2008 Goals
1) Family Mission trip
2) Bike down Pikes Peak w/Kevin
3) Sing in church with my daughters
4) Take a college course
5) Ride bike from Topeka to Lawrence
6) Lose 15 lbs
