How's your week going? I'm going to be up front and honest with you...mine has been somewhat overwhelming. At least at work it has been crazy for me. I know there are those of you who are also struggling with the day to day trials and tribulations in life. Sometimes it's hard to just give it to God. I don't know why, but it is.
For those of you who weren't able to be at Bible Study last Sunday morning, we talked a little bit about how sometimes we have doubts or maybe we question what God is or isn't doing in our lives. I like what Michael Kelly said in the book: "Our definition of faith should be more than the absence of doubt; instead, doubt can be an essential element to the process of faith. We have faith in something bigger than our doubts and questions. We don't have to fear them. If we can push hard into our questions instead of hiding them, we trust God to be bigger. And He is. God is big enough to receive us, doubts and all. Doubts and questions do not counter faith; instead, they should push us deeper." Think about that for a moment. Even though we have doubts, God promises to never leave us, He's always there. He's always ready to take us back when we've pushed Him away.
This coming Sunday we're going to be looking at Mark 10:20-26...the rich, young ruler. Read up on that scripture and notice what Jesus says to the young ruler. It's one of the tough sayings of Jesus..."You have to give up everything".
